Change is coming to the Dance Studio  this season.  Ballard School of Performing Arts has  changed it’s approach in the way that our dance programs will operate…We are creating an environment that will allow our students to soar much higher than in past years. You can be assured that we will give the best that can be offered!

We are pleased with the success that we had  during the  2009/2010 fall and spring seasons.  The success that we experienced is due to the careful selection of instructors to teach your children.  We thank all of you that attended our school last season and look forward to seeing you this season. We also welcome any new students to our school.

I am very confident in the new plan that we have developed.  Being a competitive person, I want our dancers to be the very best!   In dance recitals there is always the “cute factor” in the performances of the younger dancers. This year we will strive for precision and technique even in our youngest artists.

Remember our Motto: Life begins with music, grows with art and is celebrated with dance….Learn it, love it and live it! 

    

 

  Focus on a New Direction

This year I have hired several new instructors;  each one  teaching their specialty. Our new instructor for Ballet is Regina Richardson. She was trained by notable  Russian dancers and is fluent in French. Regina brings a flair and grace to our Ballet program.  Nikki Hooper from California is our new Tap and Jazz instructor.  Nikki is a great dancer and choreographer.  Her teaching and choreography will assure recital perfection!

Hip Hop, the newest form of  urban dancing will be taught by Patrick Otero (Pat-Y-O) Master Hip Hop instructor on July 17 & 18.  This two day master class is open to all ages.  The cost of the class is $75.00 

OWNERS/DIRECTORS of Dance Schools across North Texas will be allowed to attend FREE with the enrollment of 3 or more of their dance instructors.  Directors must have identification to prove that they are Directors or Owners of legitimate dance programs. This program is perfect for instructors that want to take their students to a higher level. We are promoting Hip Hop dance in North Texas.Searching for a Star (SFAS) Performers can attend at a reduced rate of $60.00 per student.

 Free Dance Clinics & Early Registration

 On July 24 and July 31, 2010 “The Dance Studio”  will host a series of free dance clinics.  Intrestred parents with children that want to dance are invited to come out to meet and greet our new instructors. 

During the clinic the instructors will show off their own moves as well as have some interactive  on the spot choreography for your performers. In this forum Parents will have the chance to ask questions and have them answered by our new staff.  If you are serious about becoming or having your child become a  dancer…don’t miss this opportunity!
