Audition and performance Dates:
Preliminaries:    Friday February 19th 6 – 10p (acapella)
Saturday February 20, 10am till noon & 1pm – 4pm (acapella)

Late Audition: Friday February 26,  5pm till 8pm (acapella)

1st call back: Saturday, February 27, 2010 10am – 4pm (acapella)

Final call back:  Saturday March 6, 2010 10am – 1pm (Singers should bring music track accompaniment)

Stage Course Rounds

The stage course rounds will be held on Friday nights beginning at 6:30 PM. All contestants are expected to be on time for the start of the category. The perfomances and workshops will be at Park Lake Church located on 3702 Sachse Road in Sachse, TX. (Click here for a map.) Each round will feature a musical theme. Tickets during the course rounds are $5 children 5 and under are admitted free of charge.

Competition begins

During the competition rounds the price increases to $6 per person with children 5 and under free.

The Finals!

The finals will be held on Saturday, May 29 (time TBD). All contestants are expected to be on time for the start of the category. The finals will be held at the First Baptist Event Center, located at 200 N. Ballard Ave in Wylie, TX. During the finals the price increases to $6 per person with children 5 and under free.

The performers will sing two songs at the Finals; one will be performer’s choice and one will be chosen by the Searching for the Star founders.

Course and Competition Fees: 
Audition Cost:  $25.00 which is non-refundable
Stage Course and Competition fees (including workshops): $175.00

All proceeds go into the SFAS Scholarship funds to reward participants, and fund the program overhead and facility costs.
