Last night many of the stars and their teams told me that Disco Dance night was the best category yet!  I thought it was great too!  It was a fun category and it brought out the best in our performers.    It could have been the lights and the hard hitting speakers from that DJ Guy’s set-up that gave that extra spark!  It could have been the knowledge that the whole show was being captured by Joey Edwards’ crew (Edwards Digital Media) and Dave bottlinger snapping the shots that set our stars off, but what ever it was, I hope that it happens again this coming Thursday May 27 at the Semi Finals! Round one… The stage course is over and for the first time this season the judges scores count!  I want to commend all of the teams and especially the stars on the progress that they have made over the past  9 weeks…with assurance I can say that all of you looked and sounded much better on the stage than you did when you started  just a few weeks ago!
 
As I said last night, this is the part of the Searching for a Star program that is most difficult for me.  In my eyes  all  23 performers are stars, and if  possible,  all 23 would move on to the next round, but this is a competition!

The Searching for a star stage course is now over; the competition is ready to begin!  What a wonderful time I have had seeing our student/ performers grow over the past eight weeks. 

We began the SFAS Stage Course on March 26,  with 33 potential performers. Those that started soon found out that this course is unlike any conventional stage course. The past 8 weeks have proven to  be very challenging , so much so that at the end of the course only 23  of the original 33 performers remain!

DANCE MUSIC…THE DISCO ERA

I have gotten lots of emails and calls with questions about the next song category?  I must tell you, I have had lots of fun holding on to this secret,  but  all good fun has to come to an end.   I must tell you though, If you could only have seen my face when inquisitive minds wanted to know,  you would have seen this enormous grin  just like that of the Cheshire  cat come over my face… oh  what a feeling!..
