NEVER TOO YOUNG TO LEARN!

Its not often that I use the SFAS website to send out personal thoughts, but sometimes there are messages too important to hold inside.   With this message I want to encourage parents to involve their children as much as possible in music and the arts.  I am certain that any band director, choir director or dance choreographer will agree with me that music and the arts can enhance and strengthen the lives of children.

Searching for a Star 2012….The best stage course for the money!

This year there is NO audition fee!!! Auditions are completely free!Here we go again folks, Ballard School of Performing Arts presents…the 6th annual Searching for a Star Stage Course! ”The energy for this program this year is electric; I can’t wait to see faces of returning performers as well  new talent from cities across North Texas!  “It truly is an exciting time” says Rob Hunter, founder of Hunter’s Search for a Star Foundation, a nonprofit located in downtown Wylie.

Boots & BBQ Gala event is on March 24th – 2012!On 2012 Boots & BBQ Annual Gala, sponsored by the Wylie Education Foundation is a huge annual event with a very worthy purpose.  The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is governed by a Board of Directors representing a cross-section of citizens who are dedicated to education and share a vision for excellence in our schools. The Foundation was created to promote quality education and enhance the education of all students in the Wylie Independent School District.
